A MILE IN MY CLEATS
In this short documentary, four African-American women from UMBC share their unique stories and discuss how their intersectional identities have affected their experiences as Division 1 Athletes. The film covers topics including media representation, micro-aggressions, sexism and the ever-present undercurrents of racism.
I was responsible for all aspects of the film including scheduling, video/audio recording and completed all post-production.
The National Civil Rights Museum's Intersection of Race and Sports Program in Memphis, TN. The documentary was featured as the opener for the program and included a panel of professional athletes including Doug Williams, Grant Hill, and Sheryl Swoopes.
